Inditex to set new logistics platform in León

Inditex has recruited upwards of 350 people for the logistics centres located in Arteixo (A Coruña) and Zaragoza during the course of last year, by providing permanent positions to workers which were so far under temporary labour conditions. Out of all the employees of Inditex in the world – over 60,000 – upwards of 3,500 work for the distribution centres the Group has in Galicia, Castilla-León, Aragón, Catalonia and Valencia.

Inditex's logistics platforms are distribution centres where the reception of goods and the dispatch thereof to the 3,000 stores of the Group worldwide is centralized. The Group has currently nine distribution platforms in Spain, including the new plant in León, adding up to upwards of 1,000,000 m2. These platforms saw last year the movement of more than 400 million articles for the stores of the Group worldwide.
