Textile Association (Vitas) revealed in a current report that in the first nine months 2006, EU bloc remained the biggest consumer of Made-in–Vietnam jumper, worth US $16 million for year–on–year rising of 90 percent.
Total jumper exports turnover of the country during this period made sharp yearly surging of 65 percent in volume and 41 percent in value, totaled 7.8 million sets, earned $37 million.
An other source from Vitas showed that if exports turnover of all textile and garment goods from Vietnam to EU kept such strong and stable growth as the first nine month period, total figures of the goods in whole 2006 would reach from $1.4 to $1.5 billion.
During the first nine months 2006, EU imported $820 million worth of textile and garment goods from Vietnam, recorded year-on–year increasing of $51 percent over same period 2005.
