True Religion appoints Emilio Fields as head mktg & PR

True Religion Apparel Inc announced the appointment of Emilio Fields to the newly created position of Director of Marketing and public relations.

Mr. Fields is a seasoned fashion industry veteran who has guided media relations and marketing campaigns for many of the fashion industry's premium designers.

Most recently, he created a program for Andrew Marc, as well as handled promotions and sales for Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Christian Dior. He reports directly to Jeffrey Lubell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

“We chose Emilio because of his wide range of abilities and broad experience, from brand positioning to casting and producing seasonal runway presentations,” said Michael Buckley, President of True Religion Apparel Inc.

“He clearly understands the essence of our brand and will be instrumental in carrying the message forward as True Religion expands its growing lifestyle apparel collection.”

Mr. Fields brings to True Religion more than 13 years of wide-ranging experience with some of the most venerable names in the fashion industry.

He draws from a diverse background in art history, design, sports and music, bringing a holistic and original creative approach to his campaigns.

From 2000 to 2006, he served as director of marketing and public relations at Andrew Marc, where he was responsible for editorial and film product placements, working with stylists and celebrities, and special events and promotions.
