Locals gear up before winter

With the beginning of frosty winter, people of Beijing get equipped to counter the bitter cold.
Most of the Chinese wardrobes include a heavy wool sweater, a long windproof coat, a down jacket, a set of long underwear and a pair of boots. Cotton-padded shoes, handmade sweaters, wool trousers are conventional requirements during the freezing Beijing winter.
When the weather conditions become gruesome in the winter, plenty coat-making premises crop up on most of the corners in China. These places offer low prices, authenticity and many options to the customers.
Shoes play an important role during chilly winter. Shoes embroidered with golden-threaded depictions of auspicious animals, clouds or flower patterns were in demand among the nobles in Beijing.
Stores like Da Xin textiles in Dongsi and Zhi You Hui are knitting handmade sweaters and socks. If somebody interested in knitting his/her own sweater for a low price, craftsmen help to teach that also.
