In order to tackle increasing global competition, clothing units are adopting different strategies for the development of the business.

They should concentrate on the improvement of quality of the goods.

Innovation in designs and fabrics in the clothing is also essential.

They should concentrate on tastes and preferences of consumers.

Now clothing units have changed their strategy of opening franchise shops for expansion. They are now adopting strategy like 'theme business' (promoting business on the basis of certain theme) and 'operational characteristics' (a unique way to run their business, which can be reflected in production, management and marketing of products).

The experts suggest clothing units to set up unique terminal mode, design the unique corresponding profit model, integrate system resources, maximize the resources value and to integrate product mix, brand and terminal model.
