Boyner Holding sells stake in deparmental store business

Citigroup Venture Capital International (CVCI) has agreed with Altinyildiz Textile and Boyner Holding to purchase 30 percent stake of Boyner Big Department Stores at US $153.8 million and 50 percent stake of Beymen Department Stores valued at US $252 million. Boyner Holding is one of the leading groups within the non-food retail industry in Turkey and it started its activities in 1981 with its first shop in Istanbul. Today, there exist 20 Boyner department stores and 8 discount stores in 11 different locations like Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Izmir, Trabzon, Mersin, Diyarbakir, Denizli and Konya. Boyner employs 2044 persons and serves over 28 millions customers per year with operations spread at 63.000 m2 sales area.
