Since 2006, authorities of Changshu city, Jiangsu province are inviting foreign investments for further development. They are targeting mainly Milan, one of the most important hubs for clothing.

The Government of Changshu believed that Changshu city would become 'Chinese Milan' soon. Apparel produced here are liked and purchased hugely by Italians.

Changshu city has 35 different wholesale markets, comprising over 25,000 shops, with 80,000 dealers, and about 5000 domestic and overseas clothing brands. Each day the number of travelers visiting the place touches about two lakhs.

This year, the local government has invested 15 million RMB to promote the development of the internet, and planned to develop 10,000 broad band's consumers within three years.
