Thai Silp South East Asia Import Export Co officially informed Department of Labour Protection and Welfare on July 21 about its closure due to lack of economic sources. The company would end its operations permanently around August 5.
About 5000 workers would officially be notified about the shut down along with a request to report at work positively for the last three days, in order to reimburse the compensations of employees.
Situation in the factories is normal though entry is closed; to avoid incoming correspondents.
However, owners of the clothing company, with the financial aid from Thai Garment Manufacturing Association would revive its operations in three of its industrial units in Samut Prakan.
