HighJump Software, a 3M company, a global provider of supply chain execution solutions announced that Lion Apparel is successfully and efficiently managing the inventory of U.S. military personnel uniforms and equipment from 17 distribution centers worldwide.
With the HighJump Warehouse Advantage warehouse management system (WMS) implemented at all of these sites, Lion Apparel reports strong operational improvements, including a 30 percent increase in productivity as well as greater visibility and accuracy.
A prime vendor for the U.S. Department of Defense, Lion Apparel's Logistics Group manages inventory of U.S. Army uniforms and equipment in its Suffolk, Va, warehouse, as well as assets currently deployed in the field.
The company also has implemented the HighJump WMS at 16 Marine Corps locations in Camp Lejeune, N.C. San Diego's Camp Pendleton; and Okinawa, Japan.
In addition to servicing the armed forces, Lion Apparel designs, manufactures and distributes occupational uniforms and equipment for firefighters, police, and emergency medical personnel.
