At myShape, the fashion forecast for fall calls for plenty of shine, warmth and breezy attitudes. Suits are taking on a new shape, knits are becoming increasingly important and both masculine and feminine shapes and fabrics are in the mix.
“Every year my first instinct is to say that retailers put fall merchandise into the stores way too early, and yet I get excited all over again at the first cuddly sweater and tweed pants that I see!” exclaims Fashionsnoops.com trend analyst and myShape contributor Eva Brune.
“This fall's trend roll out is especially fun because it plays up on the best looks from this past summer and it introduces new pieces that are perfect for women of all shapes and sizes.”
One of the most important trends for fall is the redefinition of the feminine suit. “The new suit is not just going to be a head-to-toe 'matchy-matchy' affair anymore; you will want to mix soft dresses with a lightweight cardigan and a soft blazer or drop the jacket on that pantsuit in favor of a sweater vest and a pretty blouse,” states Brune.
So while shopping for a great suit, be sure to browse the dresses and sweaters as well, in order to create more wardrobe options.
