Ningbo city has most no of famous brands

With 30 brands from its region, Ningbo has topped the list of cities housing 2007's 'Famous Chinese export brands'. This was announced by China Committee for the Promotion of Chinese Brands.
By the end of 2006, around 367 enterprises from Ningbo had registered 2,315 trademarks in over 150 countries; another 76 enterprises followed suit in the first half of 2007.
Of the 30 brands from Ningbo, which include 11 from textile and clothing sector, 5 belong to the shirt industry. These include brands like Youngor Group and Shanshan Group.
Local Government has introduced a slew of policies to encourage companies to register their trademarks in foreign countries.
For example, the government has announced that it will give a one-shot bonus to each enterprise which successfully registers its trademark in other countries.
Since 2003, the Chinese Government has been giving a bonus of 200,000 yuan to each enterprise that wins the title of 'China's Famous Brand'.
