Engelbreit to launch new infant clothing line at Dillard's Inc

The famous Ladue illustrator known for her quirky and intricate designs, Mary Engelbreit is all set to launch her new infant collection of clothing and accessories at Dillard's Inc. This is the first time that Mary's goods will be sold through a national department store.
The collection, based on Mary's New York Times best seller, Mary Engelbreit's Mother Goose, will be available in October.
It includes hanging layette, diaper bags, gift sets and picture frames. Each layette set has fine embroidery and embellishments and comes with blankets and hats.
Manufactured by Children's Apparel Network, the new collection will also be available on websites run by Dillard's at dillards.com and Engelbreit Studios at maryengelbreit.com.
In order to popularize the launch, Engelbreit will go on a book-signing tour at six Dillard's stores across the country.
The launch comes after the June closure of Mary Engelbreit's store in the Galleria. With the Dillard's deal, it is the second time that Engelbreit Studios has worked directly with a retailer to sell a licensed infant line.
The studio had launched a collection in 2003 with San Francisco area-based Mervyns LLC, but it was not available nationally.
Engelbreit's designs appear on 14 million greeting cards, 1 million calendars and numerous gift items sold each year.
She is also editor-in-chief of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion, a home decorating and lifestyle magazine.
