lucy & Bright Pink partner to empower young women

lucy activewear, an everyday performance apparel company focused on inspiring active, on-the-go women, is partnering with Bright Pink to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in style.

lucy plans to donate $28,000 to Bright Pink, a unique non-profit organization providing education and support to young women who are at high risk for breast cancer and ovarian cancer. The donation will be used to fund lifesaving and awareness building initiatives for young women.

Currently, all 51 of lucy retail stores and lucy.com are packed with thousands of signature breast cancer awareness tee shirts. Fifteen percent of sales of the limited-time Kick It Tee benefits BeBrightPink.org.

“Our contribution to Bright Pink is our single largest donation to any non-profit in our history of community giving, and it's all possible because our customers respond so enthusiastically to our annual tee created exclusively for Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” said Mike Edwards, President of lucy.

“The lucy brand was created to inspire women to lead healthy, active lives and we pride ourselves on the positive energy created within our stores. Therefore, a partnership with Bright Pink was a natural fit to empower today's young women.”

"As a young woman whose life has been deeply touched by breast cancer, I am so grateful for the opportunity to partner with lucy, a brand that truly embodies what Being Bright Pink is all about," said founder Lindsay Avner.
