Standards set for pet dog clothes

China is firm on improving the quality of clothes for pet dogs and is determined to issue certain standards for 'pet dog clothes' in November.
The new standards will include details of regulations pertaining to the appearance and size for the clothes of pet dogs. For instance, the back length's deviation must be less than 2.50 cm and the material used must abide by Chinese national standards.
Measures are also taken to ensure that the apparels fit comfortably to the dogs. Regulations are also imposed on procedures of sewing, ironing and other aspects involved in tailoring pet dog clothes.
Government is asking manufacturers to clearly indicate trademarks, size symbol, content and wash specification.
Currently, domestic market is flooding with the new autumn/winter collection for pet dogs and depending on the brands and fabrics preferred, the prices may vary from 20 yuan to 90 yuan a piece. Korea-made pet clothes are a lot in demand since their designs are very popular in China.
