Mr. Amit Goyal, President - Confederation of Indian Apparel Exporters (CIAe) said -“The entire textile value chain needs to be strengthened. An interface between stakeholders needs to be created by setting up a permanent market place for the Indian fashion industry.

This is possible by setting up fashion hubs in the country, which would serve as a single stop fashion business point in India. These hubs would have latest collection ranging from textile accessories to the finished products.”

At the fashion extravaganza, CIAe will also honour leading apparel exporters from the country. Awards will be given away by Hon. Shankar Singh Vaghela, Union Textile Minister.

Also expected at the event are leading fashion luminaries Ravi Bajaj and a special collection showcased by Archana Kocchar that will be a fitting finale to the grand evening.

Dwelling upon the performance of the Indian apparel industry, Mr. Goyal informed that during the 10-Plan period, exports of readymade garments had increased at the annualized rate of growth of 13.72 percent. The major increase was witnessed in 2005-06 when it increased by 28 percent.
