Ann Taylor 500th LOFT store in Annapolis

AnnTaylor Stores Corporation announced the achievement of an important milestone for its LOFT brand, with the opening of the division's 500th store. The nearly 5,500 square foot store is being opened in Annapolis, Maryland, in conjunction with the expansion of the Westfield Annapolis Mall.
Commenting on the announcement, Ann Taylor President & Chief Executive Officer Kay Krill stated, "Today marks an important milestone in the continued growth and development of our LOFT brand.
The opening of our 500th LOFT store, just nine years after the first LOFT store opened its doors in 1998, demonstrates the power and reach of the LOFT brand across the United States. We continue to expect LOFT to have the potential for as many as 800 stores across the U.S. over time."
Ann Taylor is one of the country's leading women's specialty retailers, operating 887 stores in 46 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and Online Stores at anntaylor.com and anntaylorLOFT.com as of August 4, 2007.
