5th China Products in Dec at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai

With the slowdown in the US economy, China is aggressively pursuing partnerships and business plans with India as the two countries are expected to dominate the world trade in the years to come.
As apart of this strategy, over 150 companies from China from a spectrum of industries are converging into Mumbai to take part in the 5th China Products (Mumbai India) Exhibition for forging ties, joint ventures and business alliances with Indian companies.
Termed as the Biggest Exhibition of Chinese Products in India, this trade exhibition is to be held from 13th to 15th December 2007 at the Grand Hyatt – Mumbai and is organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade alongwith Worldex India Exhibition & Promotion Pvt Ltd.
The Exhibition – popularly known as the China Mumbai Expo - will feature a diverse product portfolio ranging from air compressors, building, construction and interiors, cosmetic and beauty products, diesel engine and diesel generator sets, electrical appliances, electronics, fabrics and garments, food and beverages, gifts and toys, glassware, handicrafts, hardware and tools, health and hygiene, home appliances, industrial products, sanitary ware, stationery, water pumps etc.
The 3 day event – which saw 40,000 visitors from across the country last year- shall facilitate striking of deals, joint ventures and signing of major contracts between Indian and Chinese businessmen.
The 4th edition organized last year resulted in business deals worth about Rs 70 crore – a figure which is likely to go upto Rs 100 crore this year.
The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai and three leading trade organisations – the All India Association of Industries (AIAI), the India-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCCI) and the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC) are supporting this event.
