Stephen Walmsley has been promoted to Vice President (VP) of business development and special projects for Kellwood Company, according to Robert C. Skinner, Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer.
He will be responsible for identifying and building business opportunities that will allow Kellwood to capitalize on industry trends to enhance the Company's strategic growth.
"With his promotion, we are acknowledging Stephen's outstanding work in helping to grow our business. He is a notable asset and I have every expectation that he will produce even greater results for Kellwood in the future," commented Skinner.
Walmsley, most recently director of special projects, joined Kellwood in September 2004 as director of financial process improvement and special projects. Prior to joining the Company, he was director of corporate development at Douglas Group, a private investment banking firm.
A talented executive, Walmsley has also held financial posts at the Harbour Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP during his 14-year career.
