The US market is the largest one for Chinese textile and clothing exports. The country renders a steady export statistics in this particular market for textile and clothing in the period from January to September of this year.
The latest statistics from China customs show that the exports of textiles and clothing to the US accounts for around 15.57 percent of the total Chinese exports, showing a 25.55 percent increase over the same period of last year.
Of these, the shipments for clothing were around 16.88 percent of the total Chinese export, a 32.7 percent increase over the same period of last year.
According to the latest data of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), the price index of Chinese textile and clothing exports to the US has increased 2.19 percent over the same period of last year. The same for clothing has also rose 2.78 percent and for textile a growth of 0.66 percent can be observed over the same period of last year.
Experts believe that both the price and quantity of the Chinese textile and clothing exports to the US have increased stably and China has emerged as the main source to meet the demands of the US market.
