In the first month of 2008, Binh Thuan Province earned an export turnover of US $10.451 million, which demonstrated a surge of 16.4 percent in comparison to similar period 2007. Among the major export goods, agriculture and garments products topped the list.
However, the province suffered a year–on–year decline of 8.2 percent from the exports of textile and garment commodities, touching just $1.53 million.
At the same time, import turnover reached $2.742 million, down 15 percent, of which, the country spend almost 2.68 million on materials and equipments, showing a fall of down 3.3 percent.
