New garment unit from Gamexco

Phan Thiet Garment Export Company (Gamexco), based in Binh Thuan, Province of Vietnam has recently set up its new garment plant 'Phu Long', in Southern province of Binh Thuan.

The plant, has come up with an investment of nearly US $1.56 million, with an aim of producing around 1.47 million khaki trousers yearly for exports. 'Phu Long' has set up 20 production lines for manufacturing the desired number of garments.

Gamexco, expects that, with the functioning of new unit, it will be able to earn approximately $7.3 million through exports and would be able to provide jobs to around 1000 local workers.

The company at present produces jackets and khaki trousers mainly for the US market. However, with its new garment unit, Gamexco, hopes to increase its share in overseas market and increase its turnover substantially.
