Lojas Renner to initiate a Quiet Period on April 15

Lojas Renner S.A. announces that on April 15th 2008, it will initiate a Quiet Period. As from this date, inclusive, the Investor Relations team is prevented from commenting on information with respect to the quarterly earnings.

This measure is designed to guarantee the greatest equitability as well as adhering to best market practice.

Disclosure of the Press Release is scheduled for April 29th 2008, following the end of market trading, at which time the Quiet Period will terminate. The conference calls will be held on the following day.

All information will be filed with the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) and will be available from Lojas Renner site.
