Alvanon adds two retail industry veterans to its management team

His industry expertise ranges from technical design, product development, production and sourcing through sales, merchandising and general management.
Mr. Edward Lemack, Executive Director, Global Development:
Serving as Executive Director, Global Development, Mr. Lemack, will continue to drive Alvanon's international initiatives and concentrate on expanding the company's presence in Europe, with an emphasis on Germany, France, Holland and Italy.
Leveraging the company's international success and reputation, Mr. Lemack will lead the company in opening new international markets.
Mr. Lemack joined Alvanon in 2001 and introduced Alvanon to the apparel industry, rising to the position as Director of Global Sales.
In 2004, Mr. Lemack introduced Alvanon to the UK market overseeing operations and sales where Alvanon currently enjoys a major share of the market.
In 2007, following Germany's national size study, Mr. Lemack developed Alvanon's Germany office. Prior to joining Alvanon, Mr. Lemack served for 30 years as the President and CEO of Handler Textile, one of the largest global suppliers of interlining and related products.
Mr. Steve Oakie, Senior Vice President, Business Development:
As Senior Vice President of Business Development, Steve Oakie is spearheading Alvanon's sales, customer service, and marketing efforts, designed to strengthen brand awareness, gain market share and drive sales. He will be responsible for setting the strategic marketing direction of Alvanon's global operations.
With more than 15 years experience of marketing, sales and consulting in retail business software and services, Mr. Oakie brings high-level strategic skills and expertise in sales and marketing to Alvanon.
Previous to joining Alvanon, Mr. Oakie served as the Director of Sales, CRS Retail Solutions Division of Epicor Software, a global ERP Software Company. He began his sales and marketing career at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in East Hanover, NJ.
Mr. Joe Fittipaldi, Chief Financial Officer:
As Alvanon's CFO, Mr. Fittipaldi is responsible for setting the strategic corporate finance agenda for Alvanon's global operations.
Specializing in retail and imports, he joins the company with a strong background in accounting, operations and implementation of control procedures.
Most recently, Mr. Fittipaldi served as Vice President, Finance for the Lifestyle Design Group, a wholesale apparel division of Kellwood Company, with more than $260 million in sales last year. Prior to that, Joe capped a 15 year career at the May Merchandising Company, May's Private label Import Division.
