In current scenario where textile and apparel industry world over is facing one or the other problem, Vietnam has succeeded in exporting 38.2 million pairs of gloves worth US $24.6 million in first five months of this year.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), compared to 2007, export growth rate has increased to 42.9 percent in terms of volume and 16.9 percent value wise.
As per official sources from MOIT, US has been the biggest client for made-in-Vietnam gloves. Till date total units of 4.3 million has been exported by Vietnam which fetched $9.8 million foreign currency for the country. Over all increase seen is 41 and 18.5 percent in terms of both volume and value.
Experts predict that in the third quarter of ongoing year, gloves export will continue to rise and is expected to touch greater heights.
