With back-to-school and fall shopping in full swing, the new “must have” accessory for style-conscious females this season is Chickies Cleavage Coverage by Juls & Meg -- a strapless pullover that easily attaches to any bra.

San Antonio native and boutique owner Marla Mason Ross, who conceived and is now patenting the product, sees her invention as a more practical answer to the everyday fashion dilemmas posed by plunging necklines and revealing fabrics than today's tanks or camisoles.

“After listening to my own customers struggle with how to wear today's fashions modestly, and comfortably, I took it upon myself to create a 'fake tank' - - not a dickey but a Chickie - - that is both functional and trendy,” said Marla Mason Ross creator of Chickies.

“I designed Chickies to end just below the bust line, enabling stylish ladies of all ages to achieve the popular layered look without the excess fabric that can be uncomfortable, especially here in the Texas heat.” Ross, a third generation owner of Adelante Boutique, grew up surrounded by the world of women's fashion and retail.

Chickies easily snap around the front straps of your favorite halter, racer-back, nursing or standard bra. The perfect solution for office, work or school dress codes, and a convenient option for nursing moms, this accessory offers a comfortable, cooler alternative to camisoles. Ross' revolutionary Chickies also eliminate the irritation and hassle many women associate with today's camis, which can be stuffy, “tug and pull,” ride up, or slip off the shoulders.

Chickies are currently available in four different sizes (small, medium, large and x-large). They come in the following solid color palates black, white, ivory, tan, chocolate, turquoise, and hot pink to coordinate underneath a wide variety of wardrobe options from wrap tops and dresses to sweaters, blouses and any other revealing neckline. Lace and thermal prototypes are currently in the works with plans to launch in time for the holiday season.

Ross recently relocated manufacturing operations from Los Angeles to Houston-based Hotline Embroidery further adding to the product's Lone Star roots. The brand's label will soon reflect its Texas connection once production efforts are fully transitioned.

Chickies are sold exclusively online at julsandmeg.com and are currently available for in-store purchase at the following retail locations: Adelante Boutique in San Antonio and Austin, Texas; Bloom Maternity and Grove Hill Ltd. in San Antonio, Texas; and Coquette Intimates in Lafayette, La.
