Country emerges 2nd largest apparel exporter to US

Market experts are obviously pleased with the kind maturity Vietnam is gaining in the international export market. Recent reports show that the country is standing at the second position just after China, in the list of apparel suppliers for the US.
Statistical data indicates that apparel export to US market has increased to 28 percent, whereas in Chinese export has grown from 35.7 percent of last year to 40.2 percent maintaining its top position.
Other competitive countries, which used to enjoy major market share in the US, are gradually loosing their hold.
As informed by US International Trade Committee, the demand of apparels has soared by manifolds in South and Center regions of US. The continent mainly imports crude oil whereas textile and garment products stood second.
Among Asian countries, the market share of Pakistan lowered to 6 percent, Korea's by 3.7 percent. India, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Cambodia also registered fall in the US market by 5.1, 3.1, 2.9 and 1.7 percent respectively.
