Apparel accessories exports soar in 2008

Vietnamese MOIT recently released statistics of apparel accessories exports in the first seven months 2008.
Accordingly, apparel accessories exports fetched US $473.56 million in the first seven months 2008, posted year-on-year rise of 29.8 percent. Of this July alone grossed $70.36 million, marking a growth of 2.2% over June this year.
By July-end Vietnamese apparel accessories were exported to 43 countries and territories worldwide. The US remained the biggest consumer at $131.58 million, followed by Belgium at $45.26 million, Japan at $44.08 million and Germany at $41.20 million.
