Available statistics show that in the past 10 months of the ongoing year, Vietnam exported near about 5.1 million jean trousers worth US $39.9 million, up 60.5 percent in terms of quantity and 65.1 percent in value.
The average export price of this product stood at $7.8 per unit, FOB, slightly soared by 2.9 percent on year.
In Taiwan market, Vietnam's Jean trousers gained fairly high export price at $11.3 each unit, escalated by 45.6 percent compared to similar period last year. In total, in the period from January to October, the export price increased 33 percent to be at $10.5 per piece.
US emerged as the largest consumer of Made-in-Vietnam jean trousers. Followed by Japan where the price was quoted at $10.21 per piece on average, down 5 percent against the corresponding period previous year.
