According to an official source from General Custom Office, during the period of January to October, Vietnam exported nearly 39.9 million coats, to earn US $407.2 million, showcasing a surge by 14.3 percent in quantity and 28.3 percent in value on a yearly basis.
The export value for the product in the months of January, February, March, April and May was $25.1 million, $7.9 million, $12.9 million, $15.4 million and $27.6 million respectively.
In the month of June, Vietnam earned $49.3 million by exporting coats to various countries.
Exports of coat in July reached the highest point with value reaching $79.4 million. Coming next is $76.8 million, $68 million during August, and September.
On the other hand, in the month of October, Vietnam's exports of coat reached 4.5 million, valued at $44.4 million, down 25.3 percent in terms of quantity and 34.7 percent in terms of value against September 2008 and 15.5 percent and 1 percent respectively when compared to October 2007.
