Mr McLean to see Urban Outfitters European operations

Urban Outfitters Inc, a leading lifestyle specialty retail company operating under the Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and Urban Outfitters brands today announced the appointment of Andrew McLean to the newly-created position of chief operating officer for the company's European operating divisions.
Mr. McLean, who begins January 5, will be responsible for all European shared service operations, including finance, logistics, development and talent acquisition, for the Company's retail brands Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, as well as wholesale brands Free People and Leifsdottir.
"We are delighted that URBN's expansion in the UK and the rest of Europe has been met with so much success," said URBN CEO Glen T. Senk. "We are committed to continued growth abroad. Andrew's significant experience in retail and operations will make him extremely valuable to URBN at this important juncture."
Mr. McLean joins Urban Outfitters, Inc. from Liz Claiborne Inc. where he worked since 2003, most recently as president of the outlet division. Prior to Liz Claiborne Inc. Mr. McLean served as senior director, controller at Gap brand.
He will report to Glen Senk, CEO of Urban Outfitters, Inc.
McLean holds an MBA from Harvard University School of Business, as well as a graduate diploma in engineering management from Cambridge University and an honors degree in engineering from Manchester University.
