UNIQLO to open first store in Shenzhen

The UNIQLO Shenzhen Sun Plaza Store will be located within Shenzhen's Sun Department Store in the city's vibrant Dongmen pedestrian shopping district. Similar to stores within commercial buildings in Japan, the spacious 920sqm Shenzhen Sun Plaza Store will sport a white interior emanating a feeling of freshness.
The store's presence is extremely significant because it is not only UNIQLO's first store in Shenzhen, but also our first store in South China. We hope that the store will become a springboard for future aggressive expansion in the South China region.
UNIQLO is to open its first South China store in Shenzhen. The store will be located on the first floor of the Sun Department Store in the heart of the city's vibrant Dongmen shopping district.
UNIQLO has been expanding its store network steadily in China since the first store was opened in Shanghai in September 2002. In December 2006, we opened our Shanghai flagship store, the UNIQLO Shanghai Super Brand Mall Store. We subsequently opened stores in Beijing including UNIQLO Beijing Xidan Store, Xin Dongan Store and Sanlitun Store.
The Shenzhen Sun Plaza Store will be UNIQLO's first store in South China and we are hoping that the store will act as a flagship in Shenzhen. Going forward, our aim is to aggressively open more stores in North China, East China, and South China, centering Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen respectively.
UNIQLO Shenzhen Sun Plaza Store – special features
The UNIQLO Shenzhen Sun Plaza Store interior will be painted white to exude a feeling of clear, pure freshness. This is in the same style as UNIQLO stores within commercial facilities in Japan. White space, clear, and freshness are all store design keywords and these are expressed using items such as white towels and white pillars. The store will be separated into zones for women's wear, kids' wear and men's wear. The store will be roomy, bright and airy making for truly a pleasant shopping experience.
To mark the store's opening, we will offer a special discount on this winter's most popular UNIQLO items including outerwear, knitwear and UNIQLO fleece products.
