Van de Velde to close production plant in Szekszard, Hungary
07
Jan '09
As part of the restructuring of its production, Van de Velde has announced a declaration of intent to close its production plant in Szekszard, Hungary, which employs 345 people.

Van de Velde will clearly strictly comply with all statutory procedures and, in the event of complete closure, negotiate a fair redundancy scheme with the employees.

A small percentage of the workforce may be able to move to other production plants of the group (Belgium, Spain, Tunisia).

Van de Velde NV is a leading player in the luxury and fashionable women's lingerie sector. Van de Velde is convinced of a long-term strategy based on expanding and developing brands around the Lingerie Styling concept (fit, style and fashion).

Van de Velde focuses its efforts on Europe and North America.
