Henri Lloyd to launch new Marine Range at the London Boat Show

2009 sees a number of unique technological breakthroughs for Henri Lloyd as we continue to push the boundaries of marine technical clothing in the marketplace today.

In the Ocean / Offshore sector, the Ocean Explorer Jacket features the new OPTIVISION Hood System, exclusive to Henri Lloyd. The system gives excellent peripheral vision without the loss of protection to the face. Constructed from a 3-Layer GORE-TEX PRO SHELL fabric, the GORE-TEX membrane is bonded to the outer material and the inner lining, thus taking the need for a separate lining away and speeding up the drying time, reducing weight and increasing comfort for the wearer.

Available in both a men's and women's fit, the Ocean Explorer collection is just one part of a comprehensive Ocean and Offshore range, giving you the perfect choice; whatever your requirements may be.

The TP2 Biscay Jacket has been engineered to be the ultimate cruising jacket. Manufactured using Henri Lloyd's unique TP2 fabric technology, the jacket transports both vapour and moisture away from the wearer, reducing condensation and keeping the wearer dryer. Also available in a women's fit the jacket can be worn together with the Coastal Hi-Fit to complete the suit.

Following on from the hugely successful original Shadow Range launched in 2005, the highly anticipated Second Generation Shadow Range promises to take Sportsboat protection to the next level. The DAME Award Winning TP2 Shadow 2G Jacket features the exclusive OPTIVISION Hood System – perfect for windward or leeward peripheral vision during pre-start manoeuvring or close quarter action during mark rounding to give you that all important tactical advantage.

The 2.5 layer fabric combines a hydrophilic laminate with a microporous coating which gives dramatic results. The laminate moves away any moisture build up on the inside of the jacket while the coating transports water vapour, keeping the wearer more comfortable for longer; an exclusive material which is at the forefront of waterproof breathable protection. Henri Lloyd Phase Change technology was born out of our involvement in the America's Cup. The crews in the America's Cup needed clothing that could adapt throughout the differing temperatures of a day's racing – from the morning chill to the heat of the mid-day sun – garments that respond to the environment and also change to the bodies temperature. Each product in the Phase Change Collection is designed to create a “Built-In Climate Control System” – technology that consists of temperature sensitive memory polymers. When the temperature falls, the polymers restrict the loss of heat and moisture to keep the wearer warm. As the temperature within the garment rises the polymers reconfigure to allow more heat and moisture to escape, cooling the wearer down.
