Lands' End Business Outfitters announced XCOR Aerospace Inc., Best Friend Errand Service and Pink Jeep Tours as the winners of its apparel makeover contest, and the recipients of branded apparel programs, customized to work within budgets the companies could maintain in the future.

"Chosen from over 2,000 entries, the three winning companies all had two things in common -- an entrepreneurial spirit and a struggle with brand identity," said John Maher, vice president, Lands' End Business Outfitters. "The apparel programs we've designed for the winning companies demonstrate that Lands' End Business Outfitters is a trusted partner for turning outfitting goals into professional looks within every budget. A unified high- quality apparel program gives clients a feeling of confidence that they've hired the best and also inspires pride within employees."

XCOR Aerospace, Inc., Mojave, California
XCOR Aerospace plans to make suborbital and orbital travel a safe, relatively affordable reality. Passengers will enjoy a 30-minute ride 38 miles up to just short of outer space as soon as 2011. However, even for a group of rocket engineers, pulling together a corporate look for the media attention they are receiving wasn't a simple task. Lands' End Business Outfitters created an apparel program that defined the team colors, fabrics and work-day versus media-day options.

"We have an amazing group of bright engineers working together at XCOR," said Aleta Jackson, cofounder of XCOR. "Innovation and creativity are our company's greatest strengths and key to our being leaders in our industry. Lands' End Business Outfitters was able to create a professional look that captures the image we want to convey to the public."

The XCOR look, which is valued at approximately $150 per employee, starts with Chino Pants and a Polo, Broadcloth or Twill Shirt. A Washable Chino Blazer or Fine Gauge Cotton sweater can be added for a more formal look. All of the pieces mix and match with each other and with the employee's current wardrobe.

Whether personal-errand or corporate-concierge services are needed, Best Friend Errand Service is there to help. When the company grew from a one- person organization to a nine-person organization in a matter of weeks, owner Sue Glew knew that she needed a little support of her own. With concierge service set up in a hospital, Best Friend Errand Service had a strict dress code policy to follow.

"We needed a unified identity for our employees that says, 'Our team is here to help,'" said Sue Glew, owner, Best Friend Errand Service. "It's fantastic. People identify us before they see our logo."

The Best Friend Errand Service look, which is valued at approximately $75 per employee, is unified by a color, hyacinth, which complements the company's corporate colors, green and purple. The hyacinth Twill Sport shirts and Pima Polos coordinate with Performance Chinos.

When this first-in-the-U.S. Jeep tour started in 1960, the Jeeps were painted bright pink and an instant unique brand identity was born. Providing off-road tours of the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Pink Jeep Tours was looking for a casual, yet pulled-together look for its employees.
