Charlie Rocket and Rowdy Sprout are bringing that vintage rock 'n roll to their lines of tees for boys, while KRMA has modernized 70's travel t-shirts and jerseys for the young crowd. "We'd have to say the 70's inspired goods have good karma, " says Hoffman, "and are great cultural conversation starters between parents and the older kids, like the throwback Star Wars tees from Junk Food that both Dads and little boys love." She continues, "We also have a line of t-shirts within our own Psycho Baby brand merchandise that is inspired by the 70's, as a lot of the modern Moms we know (including ourselves) are children of that rollicking era!"

80's fun with (not so mellow) yellow: "The hottest color for girls this spring is bright yellow, which is another trend we see duplicated in the adult clothing market," says Starbuck. Ushering in the Spring collections is this bold color, as well as daring pinks and bright blues. "It is not only bright colors that hearken back to the 1980's - it is also the flouncy cuts of the minis, checked patterns and mod dress cuts we are seeing in collections from Ouch Clothing, Appaman and Micro Me," says Starbuck.

In keeping with the pop-art sensibility, Inky Dink has produced an outrageous line of 'celebritees,' that feature everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Marilyn Monroe with bright graffiti accents, inspired by kids' doodles. Says Starbuck, "The return of the 80's is proving that even in 2009, those 'kids just want to have fun' with their fashion!"

Rock 'n Roll is here to stay! "Our business has always inherently had that rock n roll attitude, but we have actually seen a growth in this category for spring for three reasons. First, kids have the rock n roll, irreverent-in-a-good-way attitude. Secondly, kids really are drawn to the fashion extremes, cool colors and graphics of rock style.

Lastly, we again see that rock 'n roll is where the sharing happens- gifters give tees and merchandise from the parents' favorite bands, and then we see those parents sharing the music with their children," says Hoffman. Sourpuss Clothing is a rock n roll heavy hitter, with new Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones and Ramones designs. Rowdy Sprout has also introduced both new designs and bands to their style repertoire, which is based is the appeal of classic rock blended seamlessly with well-made garments.

The Top 5 Spring Fashion Trends from the experts at Psycho Baby bring vivid colors, fun patterns and vintage inspiration to wearable styles for babies and kids nationwide. Favorite brands, such as Appaman and Rowdy Spout are joined by newcomers One Love and KRMA along with other style standouts such as Inky Dink, to create a collection of cool, crazy kids' stuff. Whether parents are getting a patterned romper for their new baby, an 80's look for their toddler or getting a rock 'n roll gift for the kids, Psycho Baby's new collection is putting Spring in everyone's step!
