Manufacturer and retailer of kids fashion wear, Zudaas France intends to become an Rs 2 billion company by the fiscal 2010-2011 as it is planning to open 200 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across India.
As per the Managing Director of Zudaas, France, Mr Hitesh Mehta, this is the appropriate time for expansion as the real estate prices are very low and the estimated Rs 12,000-crore Indian kids wear market is growing annually at 15 percent.
The company already has 57 outlets in the country in about 10 states and now is diversifying into men's and women's wear. Out of the newly planned outlets, 50 will be 'Zudaas family' stores.
These 50 family stores are targeted to open by the end of this fiscal and its first store will start operations in Delhi in the month of July, informed Mr Mehta.
He further said that the company is planning to open outlets, in both metros and Tier I and II cities, which will have a size of 250-800 sq ft and most of them would be franchise-operated.
After the expansion, the company is expecting to generate average revenue of Rs. 7 lakh per month from each of the 250 showrooms, Mr Mehta added.
