The leading school-wear retailer, Marks & Spencer has come up with plus-size school uniforms for overweight children, particularly of the age three to six. This uniform range is a part of an online trial, which is running in response to parents' demand.
The size of all the uniforms has been increased, for instance, a uniform for four-year-old is given with a 23 inch waistline, a size that usually eight year olds wear, and trouser and skirt of size over 41 inches.
According to health campaigns, obesity rate is increasing among the children at pre-school level. Around 27 percent of these children are overweight.
As per a company spokesman, M&S aims to ensure that their school wear is comfortable for children of each shape and size.
