After its resounding success across the suburbs in Mumbai, Brand Marketing India, announces the opening of its first French Connection exclusive women's wear store in Mumbai at the G7 Mall, Seven Bungalows.

The store's edgy yet sleek environment is spunky yet inviting, keeping the focus on the clothes. Wooden floors are offset by pure white walls and a play of direct and indirect lighting complementing the structural elements of the store. With an area of 820 sq ft, French Connection store at G7 Mall, Mumbai introduces the much awaited Autumn Winter 2010 collection; which is all about variation that plays a key role this season.

Commenting on the opening of the exclusive women's wear store, Ms. Mansi Zaveri, Manager Marketing & Communications, remarked: “Since its launch in 2007, French Connection has consistently provided the most edgy and fashion forward styles to the Indian consumer. Our women's wear collection has always been a hit with the consumers and an exclusive store only for women consumers is a self indulgence by itself.

“This format is based on our observations that women purchase strategically and therefore women would want to have more things to search through and to be able to experience them, touch them, feel textures and see colors. We have specially customized product mix which ranges from classic black dresses with a dash of exaggerated shoulder detailing to all over shift sequin dresses. French Connection has taken a step forward in catering to the women customers by starting their blog - 911fashion on www.911fashion.frenchconnection.in The women are glued to this blog to get the celeb look; trend updates, and to see what's new. This has helped us create the right consumer connect.”

Key Looks for The Woman
Autumn kick starts with 1920's Parisian chic, from a crepe draped dress to oversized shoulder detailing. Jerseys are updated with antique prints, cowl neck detail and shoulder pads.

As the season progresses the focus turns to sophisticated glamour with the 80's power women strutting her stuff. All over sequin shift dresses with contrast flower patterns and bat wing sleeves sit alongside cleverly adorned dresses using beads and sequins with padded military esq, shoulders. Long sleeve sequined wrap dresses with a delicate drape neckline in midnight blue give a fierce nod to Dynasty. Figure contouring creates an early Material Girl vibe - elasticized dresses feature busted corset detailing.

Trousers make a statement this season with cropped military pants. For a more refined take on the season's deconstructed silhouette opt for tailored masculine cuts or super straight cigarette pants with ankle zip.

Outerwear is given the design treatment in rich, luxurious fabrics in warm winter hues. Double breasted wool styles have subtle bat wing sleeve detail for a perfect fit over knitwear. Oversized coats have low rise double fastening in dove grey and navy with pull up rib collars, with a traditional belted cream coat finished with a faux fur collar. New cuts with ruffled shoulders, shorter cropped and clean collarless designs dominate winter wear.
