Pacific Brands Ltd appoints Collette Garnsey

Pacific Brands' Chief Executive Officer Sue Morphet announced the appointment of David Jones senior executive Colette Garnsey to the role of Group General Manager of Underwear and Hosiery.

Underwear and Hosiery will now include the Bonds brand, in addition to the company's other leading brands in the category such as Berlei, Holeproof, Jockey, Razzamatazz, Rio and Voodoo.

Colette joins Pacific Brands from her role as David Jones' Group General Manager, Apparel, Cosmetics, Accessories and Footwear, and will commence in her new role at Pacific Brands during the second half of this financial year after an appropriate transition from David Jones.

Ms Morphet said: “We are thrilled that Colette has agreed to join Pacific Brands to lead the next phase of growth in our Underwear and Hosiery business. Widely recognized as one of Australia's leading retailers, she will bring enormous experience and insight to the company.

“Colette has been credited with helping to steer Australia's oldest department store into the future, repositioning David Jones as one of Australia's most stylish shopping destinations. Her experience has led her to be one of the most influential figures in the fashion industry and she is greatly respected amongst her peers.”

Colette will continue her roles as a board member of L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival, a member of the RAFW Advisory Board, a member of the Chief Executive Women's Board and the Fragrance Foundation of Australia. Colette is also a councillor on the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research's TCF Innovation Council.
