Pakistan’s Punjab state will set up a readymade garments (RMG) cluster in Lahore, according to the state minister for industry and trade Mian Aslam Iqbal. The cluster will host a fashion studio that will be made operational in August. The project will also provide creative facilities to the cluster companies and units established in the Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park.
United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) garment experts recently briefed a meeting about the project at the office of Punjab Small Industries Corporation, according to Pakistani media reports. (DS)
