Menswear brand Peter England will be selling handloom fabric shirts across its stores in India, for which it has inked a partnership with the development commissioner handlooms. The Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail owned brand has collaborated with handloom weavers in Andhra Pradesh to develop and market an 'India Handloom Brand' collection.

A news agency quoted the textiles minister Smriti Irani as informing about the new development.
Irani also added that fabrics woven by handloom weavers will get visibility in the men’s apparel market, through this partnership with Peter England.

To begin with, Peter England will retail the new label in its stores in Delhi and NCR and will initially have a collection of around 17 shirt styles. The brand will start retailing the brand pan-India from the next fiscal. (AR)
