Businessmen from the Philippines are eager to develop economic ties between their country and Bangladesh, a promising market according to them, they expressed at a seminar on bilateral trade and investment organised by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and the Bangladesh Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI) in Dhaka recently.

DCCI president Osama Taseer said bilateral trade between the two sides has been insignificant in terms of both value and share, hovering around $65 million during fiscal 2017-18.
The Philippines can collaborate with Bangladesh’s readymade garments, pharmaceuticals and ceramics sector, he added. (DS)
