President of Mountain Hardwear John Walbrecht steps down

John Walbrecht, the president of Mountain Hardwear, a marketer of outdoor apparel has stepped down, to pursue other opportunities. Mountain Hardwear is a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear, whose president Bryan Timm will take over, till a new successor is found. Mountain Hardwear distributes its products in the US and 58 countries worldwide.
"I want to thank John for his intensity and leadership and, together with the rest of the management team, wish him success in his next adventure,” Bryan Timm said.
"While we carry out a succession process to identify the brand's next leader, I will assume a more active role in day-to-day management of Mountain Hardwear,” he added. (AR)
