Q4FY17 net sales at apparel marketer L Brands rises 2%

For the three months period ended January 28, 2017, net sales at apparel marketer L Brands rose 2 per cent to $4.489 billion as against $4.395 billion for the quarter ended January 30, 2016, while comparable sales were flat. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2017, the exit of the swim category had a negative impact of 2 percentage points on total sales.

For the fiscal ended January 28, L Brands reported net sales at $12.574 billion, up 3 per cent compared to $12.154 billion in fiscal ended January 30, 2016, while comparable sales grew 2 per cent.

The exit of the swim and apparel categories had a negative impact of 2 percentage points and 3 percentage points to fiscal 2017 total company sales and Victoria’s Secret comparable sales, respectively.
