Retailer Rebelle, Plan International to empower women

Supporting the noble cause, customers of Rebelle.com will donate the sales of their designer pieces to Plan International. For each item sold, Rebelle will provide the service fee and the commission, so that 100 per cent of the revenue goes to the plan project.

"We want to help girls and young women to improve their professional and entrepreneurial skills. This enables them to exploit economic opportunities and thus secure their livelihood independently," said Cécile Wickmann, managing director of Rebelle. "The ‘Rebelle with a cause’ campaign is a sign of solidarity in order to strengthen girls and young women."

The ‘Rebelle with a cause’ initiative supports the project 'Job opportunities for youth and women in Zimbabwe'. The project is part of the global movement for equal rights of girls ‘Because I am a girl’. "All girls should grow up healthy, receive equal opportunities as boys and lead a self-determined life.
