Splash launches sustainable anti-bacterial activewear

Splash in association with Resil Chemicals has launched sustainable anti-bacterial activewear. Splash’s sports and activewear brands have introduced N9 Pure Silver Anti-bacterial technology to fight the odour-causing bacteria. The N9 Pure Silver finish on textiles protects the wearer from sweat malodour and the textile substrate from degradation.

The primary cause for the malodor for active wear garments is the bacterial growth on the fabric surface. Textile materials do not have any inherent antimicrobial properties. The natural properties of textile fibres provide room for the growth of microorganisms due to sweat. Humid and warm environments further aggravate the problem. Staining and the loss of performance of textile substrates is a result of the microbial attack.

N9 Pure Silver is sustainable, non-leaching, zero VOC and has low silver loading properties that make this technology the ideal solution for garment treatments. The technology is compatible with multiple substrates and processes that provide long-lasting freshness and malodor control. (RR)
