Japanese retailer Uniqlo has launched vending machines called Uniqlo To Go that dispense clothes in the US. The company has installed the first machine at the Oakland Airport in California and plans to have machines at 10 locations including malls and airports across the country. The machine dispenses shirts and light jackets for both men and women.

The machines will be installed in major cities including Los Angeles and New York within the next two months, according to media reports.

The vending machines will help the Japanese retailer grow its presence in the US, without investing in stores. They will also help the company cut middle man costs.

The machines featuring touchscreens, will allow customers to buy clothing items using their credit or debit cards. (KD)
