Walmart India identifies 20 sites to open new stores

Walmart India, which runs 21 best price wholesale stores in nine Indian states, has identified 20 new sites in the country for new stores and will start opening them from next year, Walmart India president and CEO Krish Iyer said recently. He did not elaborate. Walmart has plans to add 50 new stores by 2022 to take the total store count to 70 in India.
"We have some ground breaking and we would start seeing new stores from the next year," Iyer told a news agency.
Five to seven new stores will become operational next year, the news agency report said.
