Experts from the industry, trade bodies and the academia are set to speak at Virtual Summit—the stand-out event in the Sustainability Conclave 2022—to be held on June 6-7, 2022. Experts from TESTEX, Bluesign, Lenzing Group, Novozymes, The LYCRA Company, UKFT, CIRFS, and the Austrian Fibers Institute are among those who are going to speak at the Summit.

The virtual conference will bring together global corporate leaders and experts from the textile-apparel-fashion industry on a single platform, to share their knowledge, ideas and insights on illustrative themes like: Efforts towards responsible sourcing and material innovation; Reducing emissions footprint from manufacturing; Government policies to scale sustainability efforts; and Certifications, standards, and compliances.

Frederic Van Houte, director general of CIRFS, the European Man-made Fibres Association, and Friedrich Weninger, managing director of the Austrian Fibers Institute (AIF), which organises the world-famous annual Dornbirn GFC Global Fiber Congress, will speak at the Summit on ‘Industry movers: Associations leading the sustainable change’.

Jaki Love, director of Innovation and Sustainability at the UKFT, has agreed to speak on ‘Technology in fashion: Developments in transparency & traceability’. Jean Hegedus, sustainability director for The LYCRA Company, will speak on ‘Waste to value: Trends in textile waste recycling and circularity’.

With the experience of successfully bringing out five editions of its Sustainability Compendium for the textile-apparel industry, Fibre2Fashion this year is organising its first ever Sustainability Conclave, a virtual event to bring all stakeholders together on a single forum.
