Fibre2Fashion, the leading global portal for the textiles-apparel-fashion industry, has released 'Going Circular'—the fifth edition of its Sustainability Compendium series. The print version showcases sustainability initiatives taken by various Indian and global companies, sustainable products launched by them, and their planned circularity initiatives. Testex, GHCL, ISKO, Lenzing and other well-known companies are part of the compendium showcasing their sustainable products and reaching out to potential buyers.

“Achieving sustainability/circularity is the biggest challenge the fashion industry is facing today. We, at Fibre2Fashion, are passionate about delivering value to our customers and the industry as a whole so as to lend a helping hand in their efforts in moving towards creating a sustainable and circular world. The compendium helps businesses spread a word about their sustainability/circularity efforts to the right audience, and also to people who matter,” said Jose Daniel, executive director, Fibre2Fashion.

The volume also explores ideas and looks at the textiles-apparel-fashion industry from different prisms. The ideas come from people who are well-versed in their own areas of expertise, and taken together Sustainability Compendium V: Going Circular becomes a melting pot of ideas.

"This volume assumes significance in today’s context, when the COVID-19 pandemic has decimated livelihoods, wrecked industries and left economies in a shambles. Not all crises/problems could have been averted by a circular economy, but many could have been mitigated or even arrested in their tracks. Circularity is about processes, and had many of the processes been in place it would have been a lot easier to pick up the pandemic pieces. A circular economy is one of resilience. In other words, it works as a shock absorber. It is all of that, and also a lot of other things," wrote Richa Bansal, editor, Fibre2Fashion, in the editorial to the volume.

Besides compendiums on sustainability, machinery and nonwovens, Fibre2Fashion also publishes a monthly magazine. The Fibre2Fashion magazine—which is now in its ninth year—has a captive audience, and reaches the desk of key decisionmakers in the global textiles-apparel-fashion industry.
